London, August 12, 2024 — Bharti Enterprises, led by telecommunications business magnate Sunil Bharti Mittal, has announced plans to acquire a 24.5% stake in BT Group from Altice UK.

The acquisition, valued at approximately £2.3 billion, will involve Bharti Enterprises acquiring 51% of the issued share capital in BT's UK consumer division, as well as 12% of BT Group, the parent company.
